Subversive CrossStitch uses Pulley to sell patterns

Julie started Subversive Crossstitch in early 2003 as a way to calm her nerves. Nerves brought to the point of unravelling by her “mean, idiot” boss. The cathartic process of traditional counted cross stitch mixed with the humor and crass of the dirty-minded sayings did just the trick. She got a real kick out of it and started sharing this form of therapy with everyone through Subversive CrossStitch.

in 2005 things started to get crazy as her cross stitch kits became available through Urban Outfitters stores, site, and catalogs. The kits were also available through Target.com, BUST magazine and a handful of international retail locations. Julie’s wit and snappy sensibility can be seen in her cross stitch patterns as well as her other online outlet, Kittywigs.com.

Julie has helped broaden the accessibility of her cross stitch patterns by using Pulley. While Julie is busy writing a column for Craft magazine, herding cats for photo shoots, or overseeing a japanese version of her book “GLAMOURPUSS: The Enchanting World of Kitty Wigs” , Pulley is securely automating the sale of her digital cross stitch patterns. Leaving Julie more time to stitch inappropriate sentiments into borders of flowers, hearts and curly vines.
